Terrestrial bandwidth
Eftel Wholesale supplies dedicated bandwidth solutions to the Internet industry via Points Of Presence (POPs) located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Connections may be fibre-optic (up to 100 Mb), ethernet, ISDN, DDS, PAPL, HDSL, Frame Relay, ATM or in certain situations, point-to-point wireless. We offer both simplex and duplex data along with "burstable" or flat-rate capacity options.

Satellite bandwidth
Eftel Satellite Bandwidth is an ideal option for customers who require lightning fast broadband Internet access, particulary if distance has made other internet services cost prohibitive. Eftel supplies data via satellite to an antenna dish (1.8m to 2.4m in diameter) installed on the client's premises. The antenna dish (and attached decoder) then delivers the data via an ethernet port to the client.

Peering
Peering is the generic term for the exchange of data between carriers at an exchange point. Through our own peering exchange, our customers are linked to other exchange points such as Ausbone, WAIX (Western Australian Internet Exchanges), SAIX (South Australian Internet Exchange) and BIX (Brisbane Internet Exchange).

Co-Location
Organisations can locate their hardware and software systems physically within DFT's Points Of Presence. Our data centres offer environmental control, Uninteruptible Power Supply (UPS), physical security and secondary data back up facilities. Co-location also allows for high speed access to our cross-tier network, without expensive connection links - a significant advantage for service providers.
